Cremaschi still in awe over Messi assist vs New York Red Bulls last year

Speaking on Morning Footy, Cremaschi detailed his awe in assisting Messi last year against the New York Red Bulls and being embraced by the reigning Ballon d’Or holder, a moment that put the teenager on the global soccer map.

With Cremaschi going from strength-to-strength ever since Messi’s arrival, the assist to the Argentine last year in New Jersey was something that gave the youngster the spotlight needed to get in the spotlight.

Indeed, Cremaschi’s stock has risen considerably in the last ten months, and that assist to Messi could be considered a key event in the midfielder’s career and a launchpad for his current success.

Cremaschi said about assisting Messi last year: “I might have enjoyed it more than the goal! To see him run up to me and celebrate with me is something that is unimaginable, I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t want to let go of him and it was honestly one of the craziest moments of my career for sure.”

Cremaschi will have to thank Messi when he ends up in Europe

Inter Miami have a whole host of talented youngsters on their books, yet if you were to bet money on how would end up in Europe, Cremaschi would be a strong pick to eventually make the move.

The USA international has developed at a rapid pace in the last year, and when Cremaschi makes the switch across the Atlantic to Europe, the midfielder will have Messi to thank for the platform the Argentine has given the teenager.

After all, Messi has been huge in Cremaschi’s development in recent months, and the 19-year-old could realistically win a move thanks to his relationship with the soccer legend at Inter Miami.
