In Kharkiv, an object of critical infrastructure in one of the city's districts was hit by enemy strike tonight, according to the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov.
The city hall stated that information regarding possible casualties from the shelling is currently being clarified.
"There was a strike on critical infrastructure in one of the city's districts. Information about casualties is being clarified," Terekhov said.
Later, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, noted in his Telegram at 02:50 that at this moment - no casualties.
"Information regarding damages is being clarified," the official added.
However, later he reported that according to updated information, there were casualties.
"Two people sustained shrapnel wounds, one had an acute stress reaction. Windows of residential buildings were damaged, and a fire broke out at the gas infrastructure facility," the head of the administration said.
Mayor Terekhov specified that in Kharkiv, a fire occurred at the site of the impact. Additionally, a gas pipeline was ruptured.
"The surrounding buildings were also affected - we see many broken windows. In the morning, there will be an apartment-by-apartment inspection to find out more. All relevant services and volunteers are working at the scene," he wrote.

Earlier, it became known that a series of explosions occurred in Kharkiv and the surrounding area due to Russian strikes. This happened against the backdrop of an air alarm declared in the Kharkiv region and in many other regions.
