NBC announces Notre Dame kickoff times for home games, Shamrock Series

The 2024 Notre Dame football schedule almost in full form. NBC announced kickoff times for Fighting Irish home games and the Shamrock Series against Army at Yankee Stadium.

Here’s a look at everything we know about the 2024 Notre Dame schedule so far.

2024 Notre Dame football schedule

  • Sept. 28: Louisville (3:30, Peacock)
  • Oct. 12: Stanford (3:30, NBC)

All that’s left is determining kickoff times for the Georgia Tech game in Atlanta, the Navy game in New Jersey and the USC game in Los Angeles. Wednesday announcement shed light on home game times and TV designations, including the fact that the Louisville game will be streamed exclusively on Peacock. The Cardinals beat the Fighting Irish 33-20 in Louisville last year.

Notre Dame has three primetime games on the schedule so far; the season-opener against the Texas A&M Aggies, the home game against the Seminoles and the neutral- site Shamrock Series game against Army in the penultimate week of the regular season. Of the remaining games that still need kickoff times, the neutral-site game against Georgia Tech in Atlanta and the annual rivalry matchup against the Trojans in LA could be candidates for starts under the lights.

Notre Dame only has three true road games on the schedule; the trip to College Station, a short drive to West Lafayette, Ind., a week later to play Purdue and the annual cross-country trip to California, this time down south to Los Angeles. Still, weekend ventures to the greater New York City area on two occasions and a jaunt down to Atlanta are just as taxing as normal road games. It’s just that the stadium environments in those settings will all likely be pro-Notre Dame.

Marcus Freeman went 9-4 in his first year as Notre Dame’s head coach and 10-3 last fall. His overall record is 19-8 including the 2021 loss to Oklahoma State in the Fiesta Bowl one month after Brian Kelly’s departure opened the job for the taking.
