Tony Farr from Bradfield Southend accused of serious child sex offences in Newbury region

A MAN has been sent to the crown court on serious child sex charges.

Anthony Farr appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, May 15.

The 58-year-old, of Southend Road, Bradfield Southend, faces four charges in total.

Specifically, he is accused of penetrative sexual assault of a young girl.

Mr Farr is further accused of causing or inciting a young girl to touch his genitals.

Next, he faces two more charges of sexually touching a young girl.

All the above offences were said to have been committed on various dates in the Newbury region.

Mr Farr, who was legally represented at the hearing by Kathlynne Fourie, was told the case was being sent to be dealt with by a judge and, in the event of a trial, by a jury, sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Mr Farr was meanwhile released on bail with conditions.
