Rodrygo has reiterated his commitment to Real Madrid, insisting his recent comments about leaving the club had been taken "out of context".
The Brazil forward left fans frustrated when he refused to rule out a move away from the Bernabeu in a recent interview which emerged just days before the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.
After facing backlash from a number of supporters online for the timing of his comments, Rodrygo took to social media to try and downplay the speculation.
"A very annoying situation occurred where one of my interviews was taken completely out of context," he wrote. "To be very direct, I am very happy at Real Madrid.
"I live a dream every day and leaving the club of my life does not cross my mind. Now, we continue with history to make for the 15th [Champions League title].
"Hala Madrid and nothing more."
His agent also added: "Rodrygo is happy. Rodrygo dreamed and fought like crazy to get his space. Rodrygo only thinks about becoming a champion on Saturday. Please don't take things out of context, especially at this moment.
"Whoever knows him knows that he is a real Madridista."
According to The Athletic, Madrid officials were disappointed with the interview but remain relaxed about Rodrygo's future, believing he truly does not want to leave the club.
It is believed Rodrygo hopes to play alongside Kylian Mbappe next season and retain his status as a regular starter but, while he remains fully committed to Madrid, Rodrygo would consider his future if he finds himself out of the team.
