Aylesford’s TPS Global Logistics receives a King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade from Lady Colgrain on behalf of King Charles

An international freight company from Kent has been presented with the King’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.

TPS Global Logistics is based in Bellingham Way, Aylesford, and managed to increase its overseas sales by 109% in the three years until 2022.

The company received the award from Lord Lieutenant of Kent, The Lady Colgrain, acting on the King’s behalf.

The ceremony at the firm’s base was attended by Hazel O’Boyle and Janet Edwards, representing the Department of Business and Trade, and by Cllr Roger Gough, the leader of Kent County Council.

Established in 2003, TPS Global Logistics is a family-owned business, employing 58 people.

The firm’s managing director, Matt Smith, has been appointed an Export Champion by the Department of Business and Trade. His role is to share his exporting expertise with other UK businesses looking to expand overseas.

The firm is growing accustomed to the limelight.

It has twice previously been presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise by Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Mr Smith said: “I am proud to say that our business growth has been achieved organically through reputation and referral, using our hard-working team to deliver excellent customer service, and through investment in our e-commerce technology to expand operations at our warehouse in Aylesford.”
