Arteta could sign own Erling Haaland as Arsenal make £55m 'machine' a top transfer target

Manchester City have many players at their disposal that Arsenal fans would love to see in north London, with Erling Haaland arguably the star the Gunners need the most.

The Norwegian superstar is coming off the back of consecutive Premier League Golden Boot awards having fired City to their fourth consecutive title, with Haaland’s goalscoring record with the Manchester giants nothing short of ridiculous.

Although City scored just five more goals than Arsenal this season, there’s no denying that the Gunners need a killer finisher in the same ilk as Haaland if they’re to best Pep Guardiola next season for the Premier League title.

And Mikel Arteta could now be about to land their own version of Haaland this summer.

Benjamin Sesko now Arsenal’s priority target for the summer

RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has reportedly emerged as Arsenal’s top striker target for the summer, with the £55m-rated Slovenian international a figure who has been linked with the Gunners for some time.

Lauded as a ‘machine’, Sesko is a forward who has been likened to Haaland due to his 6’5″ stature, blistering pace and Red Bull education, with the youngster replacing the Norwegian at RB Salzburg after his move to Borussia Dortmund.

With 18 goals in all competitions, the 20-year-old striker thrived with Leipzig this season, and it’s Sesko could already be thinking he is ready to take that next step in his career, with Arsenal an ideal destination for the attacker.

And under Arteta, the Basque coach could grow Arsenal’s own version of Haaland, a prospect that will get fans excited about next season if a deal can be done for Sesko in the coming weeks.

Sesko could be Arteta’s next long-term development project

Arteta’s ability to take players to the next level has been key to Arsenal’s success, with Bukayo Saka transforming into one of the best wingers in the world with Martin Odegaard also hitting his long-lost potential.

And in Sesko, Arteta could have his next long-term development project, with the striker one of the most exciting attacking prospects in Europe yet a player who clearly needs some help in certain aspects to his game,

In Arteta, though, Sesko will have the best coach out there to help get the best out of his game, with Arsenal also a club that could be perfect for the 20-year-old to take that next step and to develop his skillset further.
