McDonald’s releases new ‘Fish Bites’

As part of a new trial, McDonald’s has announced new Happy Meal UK menu items for the first time in years, but the food items will not be available in all restaurants.

Fish Bites are bite-sized Pollock pieces in a crisp Panko breadcrumb coating, served with a choice of dip. An image of the nine-piece Fish Bites is revealed on McDonald’s official website, and they definitely look and sound like a real catch.

Also included in the exciting new options is Flavored Milk, which will be available in chocolate, strawberry, and banana flavors.

The McFreezy is a frozen ice dessert made with fruit juice and purée, available in either Orange or Mango and Pineapple flavor.

What’s more? The iconic Mayo Chicken is also being added to Happy Meals again.

New Happy Meal items are part of a McDonald’s trial

McDonald’s Fish Bites, McFreezy, Flavored Milk, and the return of the Mayo Chicken will be available from 29 May 2024 and only for 14 weeks as part of a trial.

The trial will take place in 187 restaurants across the North West and in selected restaurants in the Republic of Ireland, according to the Mirror.

If the trial is successful, reports state that the tasty items could be rolled out to McDonald’s restaurants nationwide in the UK.
