'Not good news for the defense': Trump hush money jury reaches verdict in two days

The jury in former President Donald Trump's criminal hush money trial has reached a verdict, according to CNN reports.

Trump faces 34 charges that he falsified business records to cover up hush money payments ahead of the 2016 presidential election.

Trump pleaded not guilty to charges and denied an affair with Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's star witness Stormy Daniels.

The jurors are expected to issue their verdict to Trump about 5 p.m.

Said CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins, "This is a remarkable moment."

Renato Mariotti, a former federal prosecutor, said, "This is likely not good news for the defense."
