ITV Britain's Got Talent's Bruno Tonioli left in tears as Golden Buzzer act stuns with 'inspiring' performance

Britain's Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli was left in tears and emotional when his Golden Buzzer act Pheonix Boys took to the stage during the fourth round of semi-finals.

The dance troupe is formed of boys from up and down the country, passionate about dancing and forming friendships from their shared love of dancing.

As they took to the stage and performed their beautiful routine, Tonioli was seen getting emotional and wiping away tears from his eyes, losing his composure when speaking to them.

After the standing ovation, Tonioli continued to stand and told the dancers: "What can I say? I felt like I was in heaven surrounded by angels! That was so beautiful, so inspired.

"The choreography was superb, your choreographer did a fantastic job. It is... I am so proud of you! I am speechless, brilliant."

Alesha Dixon agreed and added: "It was poetic, you covered the space so well. I tried to look at every single one of you and I could really feel your passion you have done yourselves proud, and you have done Bruno proud. I loved it. Well done."

"For me, it was about the message and the beauty of the entire dance, the staging was gorgeous, the choreography was perfect and I could feel how much it meant to all of you.

"Every one of you cared very deeply about what you were doing, and I could see that. A really gorgeous performance well done," Amanda Holden noted.

Simon Cowell explained how "proud" he was of the group and said: "I was saying to Bruno and Ant and Dec earlier with an audience you can't fake a reaction, when something is good, you know it and that was.

"It was powerful, joyous and let me tell you, what you do is so much better than sitting in a bedroom playing stupid video games. This was a big big step up from your audience, and every one of you should be proud of yourselves tonight."

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly spoke to a few of the boys about how they were feeling, with one revealing: "Blood, sweat, tears, fun and friends. This sounds cliché but this isn't something you see every day. we are all over the shop, everywhere and this is something we love. We love this."

It wasn't just Tonioli who was left emotional as many viewers at home noted how beautiful it was, with one X user commenting: "Phoenix boys remind me of Billy Elliott."

"I can't believe these boys. They are so beautiful and passionate about their dancing. The chemistry is unbelievable and should be put straight through to the final," another added.

"Wow. Blown away by Phoenix Boys and their performance, well deserved Golden Buzzer," a third said before a fourth agreed: "They have my vote. What a talent to have and such amazing passion from them all."
