General Staff reports tense situation in 2 directions in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions

In the Kurakhove direction of the Donetsk region, the situation remains tense as Russian forces continue attempts to break through Ukrainian defensive lines. Meanwhile, in the Orikhiv direction of the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian forces are striving to prevent Russian advancement into Ukrainian territory, according to the Ukrainian General Staff.

There have been 100 combat clashes since the beginning of the day.

Russian forces are trying to leverage their numerical and technical superiority and air support. Defense forces keep the enemy under fire control, wearing down the occupiers along the front line. Ukrainian aviation has struck 20 areas where the Russian army is concentrated.

In the Kharkiv direction, there were two combat clashes during the day. An attempt by the enemy to advance in the area of the settlement of Starytsia was stopped by decisive actions of Ukrainian defenders.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attempted nine times to displace our units from their positions. Six assault actions by the occupiers were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Miasozharivka, and Druzheliubivka. There have been no losses of positions, and the situation is under control. Currently, fighting continues near Druzheliubivka, Andriivka, and Ivanivka.

In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled an attempt by the enemy to attack positions in the Serebrianske Forestry. The situation is under control of the Defense Forces.

In the Siversk direction, the number of Russian attacks today has increased to 11. Our defenders have stopped eight enemy assault actions in the areas of Bilohorivka and Rozdolivka. At the same time, there are three ongoing clashes in these areas. There have been no losses of positions.

In the Kramatorsk direction, there have been nine combat clashes. Ukrainian defenders repelled eight attempts by the Russian army to attack near the settlements of Kalynivka, Bilohorivka, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Chasiv Yar. The situation is tense. Our units are taking active measures to strengthen the defense.

In the Toretsk direction, the attack by the Russian army from Zaitseve towards Kurdiumivka has been stopped, with no losses of positions here either.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces made 21 attempts to displace our defenders from their positions. Nine enemy attacks from the area of the settlement of Ocheretyne were unsuccessful. Additionally, our soldiers repelled eight assaults near Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka, and Umanske. There are still two ongoing combat clashes near Sokil and Ocheretyne.

In the Kurakhove direction, the situation remains tense. Since the beginning of the day, Defense Forces units have faced 21 enemy attacks. Seventeen assault actions near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Vodiane have been successfully repelled. At the same time, the enemy continues attempting to break through our defensive lines near Krasnohorivka, where four more combat clashes occur. The situation is under control of our troops.

In the Vremivka direction, there have been five combat clashes. Of these, four enemy assaults have been thwarted in the areas of Urozhaine and Staromaiorske. The repulsion of another Russian attack near Urozhaine is ongoing. The situation is under control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

In the Orikhiv direction, the number of enemy assault attempts has increased to five. Two attacks in the area of Mala Tokmachka have been repelled. Fighting is ongoing in the areas of the settlements of Mali Shcherbaky and Novoandriivka. The situation is tense. Our troops are taking measures to stabilize the situation and prevent the advancement of Russians into Ukrainian territory.

In the Prydniprovsk direction, eight enemy attempts to displace our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River near Krynky have been repelled. The situation is under control.

In the other directions, there have been no significant changes in the situation, according to the General Staff.

According to the previous report from the General Staff, the enemy maintains high activity in attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
