In the Temryuksky district of the Krasnodar region, three tanks with petroleum products at an oil depot caught fire after a drone attack, according to RIA Novosti, Krymskyi Veter, and ASTRA.

Propagandists from RIA Novosti, as usual, claimed that the massive attack was repelled, and there were supposedly no casualties or damage.

However, the governor, as quoted by ASTRA, stated that the infrastructure of the oil depot in the Temryuksky district had been damaged by an airstrike. According to him, three tanks with petroleum products were damaged and on fire, and there are casualties among the oil depot workers, who are receiving medical assistance, while the rest have been evacuated.

Krymskyi Veter reports that the oil depot is located in the port of Kavkaz. This depot supplied fuel to the Russian army in Crimea and in the occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.

At 4:17, the channel reported repeated sounds of explosions in the port area.

Attacks on oil refineries in Russia

Recently, Ukraine has focused on drone attacks on the oil refining infrastructure of the Russian Federation, which is used in the war against Ukraine.

In the latest incident, on the night of May 19, Ukrainian defenders attacked a military airfield and an oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, as well as an oil depot in the Leningrad region.

According to Pentagon estimates, drone attacks by Ukrainian drones on Russian energy infrastructure have disrupted 14% of the country's oil refining capacity and led to an increase in domestic fuel prices.
