Russia launches missile attack on Kyiv: Warehouses and vehicles damaged

On the morning of Friday, May 31, the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the city of Kyiv. This resulted in destruction and a fire, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.

According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Serhii Popko, a fire started as a result of the Russian missile strike.

The fire damaged:

  • a private household of a service station;
  • a car wash;
  • 6 cars;
  • a warehouse.

The fire was approximately 120 square meters in size. As of 8 a.m., there is no information about the injured and killed.

On Friday morning, an air raid alert was announced in Kyiv and many regions. The reason for the alert was a high-speed target flying toward Kyiv. Later, it was reported that air defense systems were being deployed in the capital.

Also, a few hours earlier, an air alert was announced in Kyiv due to a Russian drone.
