Ukrainian air defense destroys 4 Russian drones and Iskander missile heading for Kyiv

On the night of May 31, Russia attacked Ukraine, particularly Kyiv and Kharkiv. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces destroyed all Shahed drones and Iskander-K missiles launched by the Russian occupiers, according to the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleshchuk.

Last night, Russia attacked Kharkiv with five S-300/S-400 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Belgorod region, and Kyiv with an Iskander-K cruise missile from the Kursk region.

The Russians also launched 4 Shaheds from the Yeysk region of Russia.

During combat operations, Ukrainian anti-aircraft units and mobile fire groups destroyed all 4 Russian attack drones. The air defense system was operating in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro regions. An Iskander-K cruise missile was also destroyed in the Kyiv region.

Russian night attack on Ukraine

On the night of May 31, the Russian occupiers launched a double attack with S-300 missiles on residential buildings in Kharkiv. The attack destroyed an enterprise, a five-story building, and damaged 20 other residential buildings.

As of the morning, 4 people were killed in the Russian attack.

Also, explosions were heard in Kyiv at night, and air defense systems were operating. The wreckage of a downed Russian missile fell in the Ukraine's capital. This caused a fire, damaging a service station, a car wash, cars, and a warehouse. There were no casualties.
