Ukrainian Defense Forces strike Russian oil terminal with Neptune missiles

The Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked an oil terminal near the Kavkaz port in the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the strikes were carried out with Ukrainian-made missiles from the Neptune coastal missile system.

A strike group of the Ukrainian Navy struck a Russian ferry crossing and an oil terminal at the Kavkaz port in the Krasnodar region.

It happened on the night of May 31. The day before, the Ukrainian Defense Forces had put out of action the ferries of the Kerch ferry crossing in the occupied Crimea, which ran to the port of Kavkaz and was used for the aggressor's military logistics.

“The Russian oil terminal near the port of Kavkaz was struck by several Ukrainian-made missiles from the Neptune coastal missile system,” the statement says.

Explosions confirmed the damage, and the results of the attack are being investigated. The operation was conducted in coordination with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Background

On the night of May 31, explosions were heard again in the Krasnodar region of Russia. There were reports of an attack online. The local governor also spoke about it. He said that the attack had damaged the infrastructure of the oil depot, allegedly burning three tanks with oil products.

The network reported that the oil depot at the Kavkaz port was attacked.

On May 30, the Ukrainian military attacked the Kerch ferry crossing with ATACMS missiles. Two ferries carrying railroad and automobile transportation were damaged. One of them ran aground and blocked the ferry.
