The Proscenic P13 is the latest model in the brand’s line of cordless vacuums. It builds on the innovations of the Proscenic P12 with some modest improvement in suction power and a more refined build, but mostly sticks to the blueprint of its predecessor yielding similarly great results.

Design

The P13 cordless has a slim, lightweight build, making it easy to negotiate around furniture and tight spaces. The main body is built from durable plastic with a matte finish, giving it a premium look without the weight.

I found the Proscenic P13 well suited to keeping dust, pet hair, and cobwebs under control with short daily cleaning.

An LED touch display shows the current suction mode, remaining runtime in minutes, and maintenance alerts.

The floor brush has been designed to maximize maneuverability around obstacles and under low furniture, with 180 degrees of swivel and 90 degrees of tilt. It retains a couple of innovations Proscenic introduced with the P12: a V-shaped brush that lifts and detangles hair as you clean to prevent blockages, and a row of LED lights that illuminate the floor ahead to illuminate dirt in dimly lit areas.

Other attachments include an extension tube, a crevice tool, and a 2-in-1 dusting brush.

A row of LEDs on the floor brush makes dirt easier to see in dark or shadowed areas.

The P13 is powered by a 400-watt brushless motor that delivers 35,000 Pa of suction, capable of handling both fine dust and larger debris. It features multiple cleaning modes, including Eco, Standard, and Max, allowing you to adjust the suction power based on your cleaning needs.

The vacuum uses a five-layer filtration system with inlet and outlet HEPA filters that are rated to capture 99.99 percent of dust particles and allergens, ensuring that the air expelled by the vacuum is clean and safe. These components are washable, so you can keep the vacuum performing optimally without the need for frequent replacements.

The 1.2-liter dustbin is easy to detach and empty, with a push-button release mechanism designed to minimize mess.

The P13 comes with a detachable 2,500 mAh battery. According to Proscenic, it will provide about 45 minutes of runtime in Eco mode, 35 minutes in Standard mode, and 15 minutes in Max mode. A full recharge takes 4-5 hours.

Assembly and usage

Assembling the P13 is straightforward and can be completed in a few simple steps.

You first connect the extension tube to the main body by aligning its connector with the corresponding slot on the body and push until it clicks into place. Then you connect the floor brush to the bottom of the tube. (You can also attach accessories directly to the body to create a hand vac.) Next, insert the battery into the slot located at the base of the vacuum handle.

The vacuum comes with a compact charging dock that can be wall-mounted to keep the vacuum and its accessories organized and within reach. If you mount this near an electrical outlet, you can simply charge the vacuum when it’s not in use. Alternatively, you can just remove the battery and charge the P13 wherever it’s convenient.

The touch display lets you select cleaning modes and provides real-time battery levels and maintenace alerts.

To operate the P13, you pull the trigger under the vacuum’s handle to turn it on, and again to shut it off. The display provides continuous feedback on the suction modes and battery levels and alerts you if the floor brush gets clogged and when the dust bin is full.

Performance

I used the Proscenic P12 in my home, which includes mostly laminate floors with a few area rugs. The vacuum glides smoothly over hard floors but pushing it across carpet requires a bit more effort.

The floor brush’s flexibility makes navigating around table and chair legs and under couches and beds a breeze. The row of LEDs does a good job of spotlighting dirt in shadowed spaces such as under furniture and in cabinet toe spaces.

The dustbin detaches easily from the main body with the press of a button. To empty it, you just hold it over a trash can and press the release mechanism to open the bottom lid, allowing the contents to fall out.

Should you buy the Proscenic P13?

I found the Proscenic P13 well suited to keeping dust, pet hair, and cobwebs under control with short daily cleaning.

Paired with a more powerful corded vacuum for deep cleaning sessions, it makes an excellent supplementary tool for daily upkeep and quick cleanups of small messes.
