Shocking charges have been brought against Rebel Moon actor Nick Pasqual following a violent incident involving his estranged girlfriend, Allie Shehorn.
According to a press release from Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón, Pasqual faces serious allegations, including one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary with a person present, and one count of injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child's parent.
The disturbing episode unfolded on May 23 at around 4:30 a.m. when Pasqual allegedly broke into Shehorn's Los Angeles residence. Shehorn, a makeup artist who had recently filed a restraining order against Pasqual, was reportedly stabbed multiple times.
The press release noted that Pasqual “inflicted great bodily injury” on Shehorn and “personally used a knife during the commission of the crime.” After the assault, Pasqual fled the scene and was later detained at a U.S./Mexico border checkpoint in Texas.
Pasqual will be extradited back to Los Angeles to face these serious charges. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
Shehorn was discovered with severe slashes to her neck and cuts on her arms and abdomen by her surrogate mother, Christine White, who was staying with her at the time of the attack. White recounted the harrowing discovery, telling KTLA, “I found her, and I had to go into the bedroom where it happened. That wasn’t a pretty sight.”
White added, “This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anybody.”
Since the attack, Shehorn has undergone three surgeries in as many days. Her friends have been offering updates on her condition. Christopher Wayne shared that Shehorn is miraculously recovering quickly, while Emily MacDonald noted that despite her ordeal, Shehorn remains in good spirits and even comforts those around her. “I feel like she’s comforting all of us, which is kind of how Allie is.
Even when she’s at rock bottom, she’s still looking to see how she can lift other people up,” MacDonald said.
MacDonald and Jed Dornoff have set up a GoFundMe page to support Shehorn with her mounting medical expenses. The page describes Shehorn as “a remarkable person, full of warmth, kindness, and love” and emphasizes that “no one deserves to endure such a traumatic experience, especially someone as compassionate and caring as Allie.”
Dornoff also revealed to The Los Angeles Times that Shehorn and Pasqual had initially met on the set of the 2023 movie Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire.
