Congress leaders gear up for Lok Sabha poll vote counting on June 4

Agartala (Tripura) [India], May 31 (ANI): In anticipation of the June 4 Lok Sabha election results, Congress leaders have been reviewing party preparations, inspecting strong rooms, and visiting vote-counting centres to ensure a smooth and fair counting process.

On Friday, Pradesh Congress Committee president and INDIA bloc candidate for the West Tripura constituency, Ashish Kumar Saha, visited Belonia as part of these efforts. During his visit, Saha addressed reporters at the Belonia Congress office.

Responding to questions from the ANI, Saha expressed optimism about the INDIA bloc's prospects, citing ground-level reports, social media trends, YouTube analyses, political experts, and internal party reports that suggest the bloc is leading in terms of seat numbers.

He also voiced concerns about the state's governance, alleging a lack of rule of law, employment, and food security, which has left the populace disoriented and struggling. Saha affirmed the Congress party's commitment to mobilize and advocate for the fundamental needs of the people.

Accompanying Saha on his visit were senior Congress leaders, including former minister Manindra Riang, Pradesh Congress Committee members, South District Congress Committee President Mridul Patari, Belonia Block Congress Committee President Debashish Mazumder, and other prominent district and block-level Congress leaders.

Following the media briefing, a party organizational meeting was held at the Congress office, where discussions held on preparations for the vote counting and the upcoming three-tier panchayat elections. The meeting was led by Pradesh Congress Committee President Ashish Kumar Saha, who emphasized the need for meticulous preparation and coordination to ensure electoral success.

The Congress leadership's proactive measures reflect their commitment to upholding democratic processes and addressing the state's pressing issues through robust political engagement and advocacy. (ANI)
