Dutch volunteer killed fighting in Ukraine

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed at the request of his family, was serving in Ukraine’s International Legion, and died on May 20 near Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Oblast.

His body has been repatriated to the Netherlands.

This marks the third Dutch volunteer to get killed while helping repel Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Dutch ministry added that the government doesn’t have precise data on the total number of their citizens who are fighting in Ukraine.
