Members of the Hollywood community are speaking out after the conviction of former President Donald Trump for falsifying business records.

Robert De Niro, who recently spoke outside the trial in support of the Democratic Party, said "justice was served" in the case against Trump, as reported by Variety.
"I don't want to be talking, but I am so upset by it. I have to say something. This is my country. This guy wants to destroy it. Period. He's crazy," De Niro said.
He added that the verdict could impact the 2024 presidential election.
Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who has a longstanding feud with Trump, shared his thoughts on the verdict.

Singer Barbra Streisand shared a word of caution ahead of the 2024 election.
"Americans must not allow this felon anywhere near the White House again," Streisand tweeted.
Singer Katy Perry posted "LFG," an acronym for "Let's F***ing Go" on her X account around the time the verdict was read.
Why It's Important: While many in Hollywood have voiced their praise for the guilty verdict in the Trump trial, the former president could see increased support from his voter base and some key investors.
Trump shared on Friday morning that his campaign brought in over $39 million from small money donors in less than 24 hours from the verdict.
Investor Bill Ackman voiced support for Trump on Thursday after the verdict, and is reported to be endorsing the former president soon.
Sequoia partner Shaun Maguire announced on X that he made a $300,000 donation to Trump, saying the timing of the trial wasn't a coincidence.
"I'm prepared to lose friends," Maguire said in his post.
Maguire said he donated to Hillary Clinton for the 2016 election and voted for her. He chose not to vote in the 2020 election.
"Now, in 2024, I believe this is one of the most important elections of my lifetime, and I'm supporting Trump."
