Isabel Alysa Vita had the idea to create something that "elevated the sunless tanning experience, both in the professional world and at home" — and she did just that!

When Vita experienced a spray tan for the first time, her world changed for the better, leading her to become more confident. From there, she took a class and started her own mobile spray tanning business and later opened her own salon. In 2021, she launched the Dolce Glow self-tanning line to bring that celebrity glow to everyone and anyone.

"Dolce Glow products are inherently designed to change the user’s perspective of spray tanning by utilizing fast drying and natural ingredients for glowing skin that looks sunkissed. Though Isabel started out hustling, she quickly garnered an impressive roster, includingKim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Billy Joel and Sabrina Carpenter, to name a few.

"Being surrounded by entrepreneurs is so uplifting. We’re able to share a mutually uplifting energy and support one another in so many ways. It’s a blessing to meet and connect with so many different people," she says.

Now, the product has launched in 276 Ulta stores, meaning it's more accessible for people to get their hands on.

"It’s nothing short of amazing. I feel so blessed to be recognized in the beauty and self-tanning industries after years of hard work. Being able to walk into a store like Ulta and see the collection like that really has solidified how far I’ve come since the start of Dolce Glow," she notes. "I love how I can see myself growing every day. I feel very lucky not to feel stagnant and still see my work have so much joy and life to it. I’m also surrounded by an inspiring team and clients, so I love how we’re able to face any challenges or changes as we grow head on together."

Though Isabel has come so far, she's not stopping anytime soon. "The most important thing to me is to see how we can continue to innovate. I feel like you never truly know what’s coming next, but we love to see how else we can," she says. "I would hope that we can continue to expand within the industry and further educate both consumers and professionals about self-tanning. I would love to see Dolce Glow not only provide accessibility to this world, but also allow for future beauty entrepreneurs starting from all walks of life to feel like they can do it, too."

Additionally, Isabel started the Dolce Glow Summit — two days of "business building strategies, product launching secrets and skill building mastery with some of the top founders, experts and CEO's in the beauty industry," the website states.

"We were able to bring in inspiring entrepreneurs and share more accessible business information with people at all different moments in their journey. Often business summits can feel intimidating or meant for those at the top of their game, so this summit was definitely needed and was designed specifically to change that mindset," she recalls of the memorable event, which hopefully inspired others to start their own business.

Though there are ups and downs when running a company, Isabel wouldn't change it for anything.

"I originally started this business to put extra food in my fridge and pay my bills. It’s amazing to see how Dolce naturally blossomed into something greater, and even though I strived to create something different and change the spray tanning space, the amount of love and support the brand has received over the years is something I still don’t take for granted," she states. "I work hard everyday to make my daughter and husband proud, so to see them share the joy in this success is what gives me that sense of accomplishment."

She continues, "I always strive to be my true authentic self. I would hope by doing this and sharing my life experiences, I can connect with others who have similar ambitions. Ultimately, Dolce Glow’s goal is to change the sunless tanning industry inside and out. I feel we’ve come a long way in accomplishing this, but there’s still so much more to be done. We have some really fun products coming out over the next few years that have been amazing to work on. I’m looking forward to sharing them with everyone."
