Russian offensive in Kharkiv region: Volunteer from Switzerland wounded in Vovchansk

Russian forces continue to shell the Kharkiv region. For instance, as a result of enemy attack on May 30 in Vovchansk, a volunteer from Switzerland was wounded, according to the Facebook page of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, on May 31 around 02:00 p.m., the Russian military shelled the village of Shestakove in the Chuhuiv district. Two men were injured. Residential houses and farm buildings were damaged.

On May 30, due to enemy shelling in Vovchansk, a volunteer from Switzerland was wounded. The man arrived in Ukraine on a humanitarian mission to help evacuate people and animals from areas of active hostilities. Medical assistance was provided to him.

Under the procedural guidance of the Chuhuiv District Prosecutor's Office of the Kharkiv region, pre-trial investigations have been initiated into violations of laws and customs of war (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Situation in the Kharkiv region

Recently, Russian forces have intensified shelling in Kharkiv and the surrounding region. The city is effectively under daily enemy attacks.

In particular, last night, the Russian army launched S-300 missiles at Kharkiv from the Belgorod region. A five-story building in one of the districts was destroyed. There were also strikes on a factory premises. Six people were killed, and more than 20 were injured.

Additionally, the Russian forces have initiated an offensive in the Kharkiv region. Currently, there are ongoing hostilities in the vicinity of the city of Vovchansk.
