CM Revanth Reddy invites Governor Radhakrishnan for Telangana State Formation Day

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 1 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy along with his deputy Bhatti Vikramarka visited the state governor Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan on Saturday and invited him for the government's 10th Telangana State Formation Day celebration on June 2.

The celebration marks the tenth year of Telangana formation.

The state government has issued orders for unfurling the national flag from village panchayat to mandal to the state level.

Earlier, CM Reddy called on Congress leader Sonia Gandhi at her residence in New Delhi and invited her to be the chief guest in the Decennial celebrations of Telangana formation day.

According to the officials, the government will hold a grand carnival on Tank Bund in Hyderabad. A laser show and cultural programs will be held on the occasion. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will release the Telangana state song and address the gathering at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on the celebration day.

Meanwhile, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has announced a grand three-day celebration to commemorate the State Formation Day.

Party president K Chandrasekhar Rao has urged the party cadre to ensure the success of the celebrations. Emphasising the significance of this milestone, KTR highlighted the role of KCR and the BRS in achieving statehood for Telangana through relentless struggle and sacrifices, including KCR's hunger strike. He called on every Telangana citizen to actively participate in these decadent celebrations to honour this historic achievement.

The celebrations will kick off on June 1 at 5 PM with a candlelight rally from the Martyrs' Memorial in Gun Park to the Amar Jyoti at Tank Bund. This event is organized to pay homage to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana. BRS leader and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) will grace the occasion with his presence, alongside numerous Telangana activists and citizens. (ANI)
