As of now, all relevant services in Zaporizhzhia are working to restore traffic at the DniproHES dam, according to the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov.

"Our priority is the safety of Zaporizhzhia residents. So we are working not only quickly, but also efficiently and carefully," said the head of the regional administration.

He explained that after a detailed examination of the consequences of the Russian missile strike, the authorities decided not to open the dam for the weekend.

"During this time, we have to do everything necessary to maximize the safety of traffic. I will report on the progress. In the meantime, I advise you to use other routes between the two banks of Zaporizhzhia," he added.

Attack on the thermal power plant

Last night, the Russian troops attacked two Ukrainian hydropower plants.

In Zaporizhzhia, there was blocked traffic through the dam of the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant in the morning. This plant was already attacked by Russians in March 2024.
