Donald Trump's 30-plus minute Trump Tower press conference that ended up being a rant without his taking questions, drew the attention of multiple experts who claim he showed signs the trial has taken a physical toll on the 77-year-old former president.

In interviews with the Daily Beast, a cosmetic dermatologist and a body language expert pointed to changes in Trump's physical appearance and the way he addressed the assembled reporters and said there were alarming signs of decline.

According to dermatologist Michele Green, the former president looks like he has spent more than a few sleepless nights.

"He looks visibly exhausted from it,” she explained while discussing the trial ordeal. “His under-eye area looks darker and it looks more puffy, overall his skin color and tone are more sallow. It looks like he hasn’t slept.”

“He had this gag order where he wasn’t allowed to speak—I wonder if the stress of that has affected him. He looks worn out, and I wonder how much is that component,” she suggested.

Body language expert Patti Wood said Trump's address and how he approached reporters was a massive change from the way he normally conducts himself.

“His typical way of starting a speech is to go to the podium and pause and just wait. He typically savors that moment when people are waiting for him and he’s making them wait," Wood observed before suggesting, it appeared to her as "an indication of anxiety and a desire to get through it, to get over it, to get it done.”

She added Trump's hands also betrayed his anxiety, saying, "There’s tension forcing the wrists downward, the emotional message… is, ‘I don't know what to do. He’s getting self comfort by touching the tips of his fingers on the table in front of him—symbolically, he doesn't know how to play this.”
