"PM Modi left no stone unturned in taking nation forward": Rajyavardhan Rathore after exit polls

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], June 1 (ANI): After the exit polls predicted that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is poised to retain power at the Centre with a thumping majority and register its third straight win in the Lok Sabha polls, Rajasthan Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Saturday asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi left no stone unturned in taking the country forward.

Speaking to ANI on exit polls, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore thanked the voters of Rajasthan, and the Election Commission and said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left no stone unturned in taking the country forward..."

Rathore further said, "In the next 25 years, the developmental works will be done at a greater pace as compared to the present times. India will be considered a developed nation globally."

When asked about winning the number of seats in Rajasthan, the Cabinet Minister took a jibe at Congress and said, "In Rajasthan, we believe that after seeing the bad governance of Congress, they would have pressed the Lotus button only."

After voting for the 18th Lok Sabha elections concluded on Saturday, exit polls predicted that the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will secure a clean majority in Rajasthan.

An aggregate of exit polls shows that out of 25 Lok Sabha seats, the NDA is predicted to win 18-23 seats, while the Congress-led INDIA bloc is expected to win 2-7 seats.

Times Now ETG in its exit poll figures indicated that the NDA is winning 18 seats, while the Congress-led INDIA bloc is clinching seven seats.

The exit poll figures from INDIA TV predicted the NDA getting 21 to 23 seats, while the INDIA bloc is wrapping up with two to four seats.

Similarly, News 24 in its exit poll figures predicted 22 seats for the NDA, two seats for the INDIA bloc, and one seat for others.

The polling in Rajasthan was held across two phases. Polling for 12 seats was held in the first phase on April 19, and voting for the remaining 13 seats was held in the second phase on April 26. The counting will take place on June 4.

For the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP contested all 25 seats under the NDA. Under the seat-sharing arrangement of the INDIA bloc, Congress contested the polls from 22 seats, while its allies Bharat Adivasi Party, CPM, and Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) contested the elections from one seat each.

Some key candidates in the state include Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Kailash Choudhary and Union Minister of Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA swept all 25 seats. The BJP won 24 seats, and its ally, the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), bagged one seat. Congress failed to open its account in the elections. In 2014, the BJP also secured victory in all 25 seats.

The Narendra Modi-led BJP is seeking a third term in power, while the opposition INDIA bloc is aiming to wrest power by stopping the juggernaut. (ANI)
