Dam broken in two places in south Germany floods

A dam broke in two places in the Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm as a result of the heavy rains which have hit the region over the past few days.

The dam was on the Paar River, a tributary of the Danube, a spokesman for the district administration said.
