Over the past week, the Russian army has used about 1,000 missiles, drones, and guided aerial bombs against Ukraine, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Complete disregard for human life and constant terror is what Russia is trying to spread. This week alone, Russian troops have launched almost 1,000 strikes - with missiles of various types, guided aerial bombs, attack drones," the president wrote on Telegram.

According to him, a sufficient number of air defense systems and providing the Armed Forces with the necessary long-range weapons could protect the lives of Ukrainians suffering from Russian shelling. The president also stresses that the world must put pressure on Russia so that it does not have time to adapt.

"This is the way to bring peace closer. Russian terror must lose. The world can ensure it," Zelenskyy added.

On the night of June 1, the Russian army massively shelled Ukraine with attack drones and missiles. Energy facilities, in particular the Dnipro hydroelectric power plant in Zaporizhzhia, were under attack.

After this massive attack, President Zelenskyy said that Ukraine needed additional Patriot air defense systems and increasing the supply of F-16 fighter jets.
