Liverpool tracking Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray

According to GiveMeSport, Liverpool are now tracking Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Reds aren’t alone in their interest, however, as Arsenal, West Ham United and Brighton are also keeping tabs on his situation.

With Leeds failing to gain promotion, the Championship outfit will now be in a weaker position to keep ahold of their academy graduate and could sanction a sale if the right offer arrives.

Gray reportedly has a £40m price tag.

Archie Gray statistics

Gray has enjoyed a phenomenal breakout season for the Whites and scooped the Championship Young Player of the Year, aged 18.

The 2006-born midfielder had a 90 per cent pass completion rate, as per FBref, which evinces his comfortability in possession.

In fact, Gray actually completed more passes than Dominik Szoboszlai, which is pretty remarkable and further amplifies his want to get on the ball and be the metronome in midfield.

If Liverpool were to land his signature this summer, they’d be getting a player capable of plying his trade at the top level for the next decade at least.
