Family reacts to rumours of Senator Ibrahim’s death

The family of Senator Abu Ibrahim has refuted the rumours circulating about his passing.

The former lawmaker’s family has declared the rumours, which began to spread on Saturday afternoon, June 1, 2024, false.

This was contained in a statement signed on behalf of the family by his son, Muhammad Abu Ibrahim, who the CEO of the National Agricultural Development Fund, NADF.

The family said the senator is very much alive and in good health.

“Our attention has been drawn to rumors of the death of our dear father and elder statesman, Senator Abu Ibrahim, which began mid afternoon on Saturday, the 1st of June 2024.

“The family wishes to state that the information is untrue; Senator Abu Ibrahim is alive and in good health.

“To this end, we sincerely appreciate the concerns and prayers of many, including friends, associates, and well wishers who have reached out to confirm,” Muhammad Abu Ibrahim said.

Ibrahim was elected Senator for the Katsina South senatorial district in April 2003 on the All Nigeria Peoples Party, ANPP, platform.
