Keon Young and N-Kye Wynn were originally scheduled to officially visit Kentucky later this month. But on Sunday, both players committed elsewhere. Young is off to Ole Miss while Wynn pledged to Rutgers.

Ranked as a four-star and the No. 244 overall recruit from the class of 2025 by the On3 Industry Ranking, Young, a 6-foot safety prospect, chose the Rebels over a group of finalists that included Kentucky and South Florida. Ole Miss actually came into the picture later than the Wildcats (offering him in early April) but were able to secure a commitment while he was on an official visit in Oxford this weekend.

As for Wynn, he’s ranked as a three-star and checks in at No. 488 overall in the same class by the On3 Industry Ranking. A 6-foot-5, 265 offensive tackle, he surprisingly committed to Rutgers over the likes of Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Pittsburgh. The Michigan native is on an unofficial trip to check out the Scarlet Knights’ program this weekend and the staff’s pitch was enough to seal the deal.

Young was set to OV at South Florida (June 14) and Kentucky (June 21) in the coming weeks. Wynn recently replaced his previously scheduled official visit to Kentucky (set for June 14) with Michigan State. He also has OVs scheduled with Wisconsin (June 7) and Pittsburgh (June 21). It’s unknown if those future visits will take place as planned for either prospect.

But in the cases of both players, the first school to get them on campus quickly received commitments.
