Purdue lands commitment from Indiana RB Jaron Thomas

MORE: Purdue 2025 commitments

Purdue offered 2025 RB Jaron Thomas a scholarship on Sunday. And he quickly accepted, committing to the Boilermakers tonight. He is Purdue’s sixth commitment in the Class of 2025 and second running back.

A product of Concord High in Elkhart, Ind., the 6-1, 200-pound Thomas had offers from the likes of Western Michigan, Air Force, Army, Southern Illinois, Yale and Ball State.

He competed in the state 100-meter dash and 4 x 100 relay on Saturday.

Purdue was thought to be content with taking just one running back in the Class of 2025, having already taken a pledge from Zaire Stevens of East High in Akron, Ohio. But the Boiler staff felt Thomas was too good to pass up offering. And he accepted.
