Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the Philippine capital of Manila today, June 3, where he is scheduled to meet with his counterpart, Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., according to the Philippine News Agency.

The meeting of the two heads of state is scheduled to take place at Malacañan Palace, the residence of the Philippine leader, on Monday morning, as reported by the Office of the President's Communications (PCO).

However, the Palace is not currently disclosing details of the meeting.

President Zelenskyy's visit to the Philippines comes after the two leaders participated in the 21st International Institute for Strategic Studies Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.

This is the premier defense summit in Asia, bringing together government leaders, defense officials, experts, and businessmen, encouraging close cooperation between countries to address regional security issues.

At this event, Zelenskyy publicly called for political support from Asian countries in light of Russia's ongoing large-scale military aggression against Ukraine. He also spoke about the upcoming Global Peace Summit planned in Switzerland in mid-June.
