Here Are the Lyrics to Megan Moroney’s “Never Left Me”

Verse 1

I left my boots out by the door like I always do / Same stack of magazines by the the kitchen sink, it’s nothin’ new / Same view out my bedroom window / Same whistle every time the wind blows / Came back a different me, but it’s good to see the same old you

Chorus

I packed my bags like a bat outta hell / Said, “I’m all good all by myself” / Well, here I am again / It’s been too long, old friend / If floors could cry and walls could talk / I hope they’d say, “It ain’t your fault” / Standin’ on your front porch, I can see / I left you, but you never left me

Verse 2

I bet you knew that I’d be back thе day you watched me go / Now herе you are all open-arms though I told you so / Cross-stitched pillows sayin’ “home sweet home” / Ain’t moved an inch since I’ve been gone / You kept these parts of me I haven’t seen in so long

Repeat Chorus x2

Outro

Came back a different me, but it’s good to see the same old you
