England boss Gareth Southgate has shared his verdict on the latest international performance from Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
England played their penultimate match before the Euro 2024 tournament on Monday night, beating Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-0 at at St James’ Park.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer broke the deadlock on the hour mark with his penalty kick. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Harry Kane scored late goals for the Three Lions, too.
For Conor Gallagher, he played the full 90 minutes in the centre of the park, where he’s trying to nail down a starting position for his country.
The 24-year-old Blues star certainly caught the eye with a quality all-action display last night.

Speaking in his post-match interview after England’s friendly win over Bosnia, Gareth Southgate did give Chelsea’s Gallagher some special individual praise following his performance.
He believes that the central midfielder is actually getting stronger with the ball at his feet, plus played with real maturity.
Southgate said via The Northern Echo: “I thought Conor Gallagher was an important performance for us with how important Declan (Rice) is for us. Conor’s work with the ball has improved, we know what he can do without the ball. He showed real maturity.”

The Chelsea Chronicle is confident predicting Gallagher will definitely be on the plane to the Euros with the England squad this summer. In fact, he’s got every chance of playing some decent minutes at the tournament.
He really impressed during his 13th senior England cap on Monday.
