When someone in the video asked the boy what was the best thing about going to the beach, Noah said he loved playing in the water, adding, "The waves catch me." Bunnie also asked Noah if he would be a surfer in the future, to which the boy quickly said "no."

Both Bunnie and Noah's videos make it evident that they share a warm relationship, showcasing the strong bond they've built despite not being biologically related.

In a 2023 interview, Jelly Roll provided insights into his relationship with his young son, as well as Noah’s mother, Melisa. Melisa serves as the custodial parent.

Jelly Roll emphasized that he, Bunnie, and Melisa are all on the same page and get along well. On why the musician decided to open up about Noah with the world, he said Bunnie and Melisa drove him to do it primarily after one family outing.

The singer recalled having a vacation with Noah, and Bunnie expressed her desire to post about Noah. "My wife was like, 'I'm just gonna hit her up and tell her I wanna post,' and she (Melisa) was like, 'Yeah, totally cool,'" he explained.

Jelly Roll also highlighted his commitment to respecting Noah and Melisa’s privacy. While he actively makes decisions for his teenage daughter, Bailey, he does not make many decisions when it comes to parenting Noah. He lets Melisa decide for the boy.

"I try not to get in the way of what she (Melisa) is building over there, and I never want to step on her toes, with what she's doing with him, that I want to just respect that boundary," he said.
