2025 CORVETTE ZR1 TEASER CONFIRMS CENTER-EXIT EXHAUST, TURBO SOUNDS

C8 Corvette ZR1 Teaser

The next chapter of the C8 Corvette is on the way, set to be unveiled this summer, and if you’ve been keeping up with news from MC&T, then you already know what all the hype is about as this trim level will be the ZR1 set to be the most powerful Corvette ever created. It wasn’t too long ago that Chevrolet released a teaser of the upcoming car, shrouded by smoke, and now, another teaser has just been released, this one giving a halfway decent shot of the back of the vehicle, coupled with plenty of wonderful engine noises to build up the hype.

New C8 Corvette ZR1 Teaser: Details

Within the video, we can see the centralized exhaust, reminiscent of the Z06, accompanied by a super aggressive rear wing at the back, which appears to be bigger than what’s offered on the Z06. Powertrain-wise, rumor has it that the car will make use of the LT7 engine, which is essentially the same 5.5-liter V8 LT6 engine found behind the Z06, albeit this time with two turbochargers mated to the build to produce an expected 800 horsepower. That does mean the Stingray and E-Ray are the only two C8 Corvettes with their exhaust tips located on the outer edges of the rear bumper, an easy way to tell the trim levels apart without looking at the badging.

Testing for the C8 Corvette ZR1 is still underway as not too long ago, some people spotted the car dawning camouflage in Southern Ohio. The Corvette Engineering team has frequented the area with every single prototype since at least the C7 ZR1 was in development, taking on curvey Buckeye state roads and Ohio’s 555, also known as the Triple Nickel. We’re sure the Engineering Team has been having fun testing the cars, and we can’t wait to see them unveiled and get more information.

Unfortunately, the reveal date still hasn’t been announced; all that we have been given is that the ZR1 will be revealed “this summer.” We expect to see more teasers released more frequently as the reveal gets closer, offering even greater peeks at the epic track-focused car that will turn some heads and take the Corvette even further in terms of performance.
