Shuaib Ayodeji Danmairomu, has been appointed the new controller of the Kwara State Correctional Service Command.
He is taking over the affairs of the command after the demise of the late controller, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun, who passed away on May 25,2024 at his residence, Ayetoro community, in Zango-Kulende area of Ilorin, the state capital.
He was buried last Saturday at his country home, Ipee, in Oyun Local Government Area of the state.
A statement by the spokesman of the command, Adegbulugbe Philip, in Ilorin on Tuesday, said the appointment of Shuaib followed the approval of the Controller General of Corrections, Haliru Nababa.
Controller Shuaib Danmairomu hails from Balogun Fulani Ward, in Ilorin South, Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Until his redeployment to the state, he was the Controller of Corrections in charge of Custody at the National Headquarters office in Abuja.
Shuaib is a graduate of University of Ado Ekiti in Ekiti State, and has served in various capacities in the service.
He assumed duty on Monday June 3, 2024, as the fourth substantive controller of corrections in Kwara State since the change in the nomenclature of the service to the Nigerian Correctional Service from Nigerian Prisons.
