Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) hit House Republicans with an epic diss Tuesday as they grilled Attorney General Merrick Garland over their claims that the Department of Justice has been weaponized against Donald Trump.

Republicans at the House Judiciary hearing attacked Garland for everything from state charges against Donald Trump to ignoring GOP demands for the audio version of special counsel Robert Hur's interview with President Joe Biden.

In his remarks, Schiff attacked the committee chair Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) for a claim that "justice is no longer blind."

"The chairman's real problem is that justice remains no respect of persons," said Schiff. "That you can be the former president of the United States, but if you commit crimes, you'll be held responsible. That's his problem. That's the problem of all of my Republican colleagues right now," Schiff complained.

What truly angers his GOP colleagues, he said, is that their party is about to nominate a convicted felon as their party's nominee for president.

"And they don't know how to cope with that," he said.

"And so they have to push these conspiracy theories that they know are patently false. They tried to run over you with questions they won't let you answer because their whole arguments are utterly insupportable and destructive of our justice system," Schiff said to Garland. "They care more about this convicted felon."

That's when he dropped the bomb.

"I am pleased, and a bit surprised, to see that the flag in this committee is still flying right side up because they want to turn it upside down even as they want to turn our justice system upside down."
