Million-dollar Shark Tank product partners with Dunkin' Donuts - We never saw this coming

In a team-up that literally no one saw coming, Dunkin’ has partnered with arguably one of the most successful Shark Tank products of all time, the Scrub Daddy.

2024 has been a good year to be a donut lover as Dunkin’ has already been hard at work with releases like their summer menu and brand new flavors of their grocery store beverages. Outside of Dunkin’, donut lovers have also been treated to an exclusive Pokemon collab with Krispy Kreme.

Dunkin’ and Scrub Daddy are the unlikeliest of friends

On Monday, both companies announced the partnership in honor of the upcoming National Donut Day, which is on June 7. Though Dunkin’ undoubtedly has some sweet treats up its sleeves, the Scrub Daddy version should not be eaten under any circumstances.

Fans of Shark Tank might remember that Scrub Daddy featured on the investing show back in 2012 when Shark Lori Greiner received a 20% stake for $200,000. After over a decade on the market, the Scrub Daddy is still hailed as the holy grail cleaning product.

Customers are able to purchase a Scrub Daddy in orange and a Scrub Mommy in pink, both of which have been designed to resemble yummy Dunkin’ donuts.

“This collaboration started with a witty conversation on social media between the brands, which evolved into a partnership with America’s favorite sponge, Scrub Daddy. With their fun and innovative approach to social media, Scrub Daddy seamlessly complements Dunkin’s playful spirit. Together, they bring a smile to your face during everyday routines,” Dunkin’ said.

The new sponges are now available for purchase, but only while stocks last. They can be purchased through the Scrub Daddy Smileshop.

Scrub Daddy and Dunkin’ might need a restock

Because the sponges are only available for a limited amount of time, it’s reasonable to assume that they could run out of stock in the near future. On social media, customers seem keen to make the purchase.

One person wrote: “lol the collaboration we never thought we needed.”

“Can we all just be honest with ourselves though? It’s just a round sponge,” someone else countered, as another simply asked, “Can I eat it?”
