Meghan Markle and Prince Harry branded ‘frauds’ over controversial plans for Archie and Lilibet

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been labelled as "frauds" by a US journalist over their school plans for Archie and Lilibet.

According to reports, the pair are scoping out high grade schools around Montecito.

It suggests they might not be considering a return to the UK anytime soon and it has sparked outrage among some royal fans.

Speaking to GBN America, Lee Cohen said: "It's utterly infuriating to hear that Harry and Meghan, the self-proclaimed champions of equality and social justice, are even contemplating enrolling their children in an in an exclusive, outrageously expensive school.

"Their supposed commitment to progressive causes is nothing but a facade. If they're willing to indulge in this epitome of elitism, there is no advocating for equality.

"Yet they're willing to pay staggering tens of thousands per year for their children's education. How can they possibly justify this when so many families struggle to afford even the basic necessities?

"Sending their children to such a prestigious institution completely exposes the frauds that Harry and Meghan are. By perpetuating the very systems of privilege that they claim to expose."

Prince Harry is no stranger to attending expensive schools as he went to Ludgrove for prep school, then followed his older brother Prince William to Eton College.

Meghan went to Immaculate Heart High School, an all-girls Catholic school in California.

Meghan recently gave a rare update about her children on a recent visit to Nigeria.

She said: "When I was on season one of Suits, so that was a long time ago. Now I know the show is having a resurgence, but that was a long time ago. Let's say maybe a decade ago.

"Bonnie Hammer, who runs NBC Universal, was a huge mentor, remains a huge mentor to me.

"And I remember having the good fortune at the time that she invited me to have breakfast and I thought this was just the biggest deal in the world."

Meghan continued: "And I asked her that exact question. I said, 'How do you find the balance?'

And she said, 'You don't, you'll never find the balance.'"And this was before I was married, before I had children, before all the things in my life have certainly had a plot twist.

"And it struck me and it stayed with me for a long time because you say, 'Well how can you be so successful?

"And she's a mother as well and she's married and say that you'll never find the balance? What does life feel like if it's imbalanced?'"
