Liverpool fans shocked to see Mateusz Musialowski leave

It has been a superb year for the Liverpool academy. Jurgen Klopp gave so many promising youngsters game time and many of them took it with both hands.

One to have been given his debut this season was Polish talent Mateusz Musialowski.

And although Musialowski has been impressing in the youth teams since 2020, the 20-year-old is one of those to be released at the end of the campaign.

With his contract expiring, it had been in the cards. But nevertheless, some Liverpool fans took to X to express their sadness and disappointment at the decision to let Musialowksi go.

Others were keen to know why, with Liverpool slightly short in some attacking options, Musialowski hadn’t been given more of a chance.

Liverpool fans say goodbye to ‘special’ talent

Liverpool supporters had long been fans of this youngster. It was they who branded Musialowski as ‘special‘ from watching him in the youth team.

Capable of mazy solo goals and brilliant trickery, Musialowksi was the type of young player who gets people off their seats.

It seemed to be only a matter of time before he got his chance in the first-team.

But as the seasons went by, the less opportunity he looked to have. Ultimately, it should not be a huge surprise to see Musialowski go.

There have been rumours that the Musialowski could head back to Poland to rebuild his career. But let’s see if anyone in England takes a chance on him.

More than that though, let’s hope that Liverpool don’t come to regret this decision.
