The Kentucky Wildcats are set to host the Oregon State Beavers in the Lexington Super Regional. On the line is going to be a chance to advance to the College World Series in Omaha.
The Lexington Super Regional is expected to be a competitive one. Kentucky came into the NCAA Tournament as the number two overall seed, making them one of the favorites to walk away with a national championship this season. On the other side, Oregon State was also a host in the Regional round after an excellent season in the Pac-12.

Now that the 2024 NCAA Super Regional is here, FanDuel has released the betting lines ahead of the series between Kentucky and Oregon State with a trip to Omaha and the College World Series on the line.

Given where Kentucky was seeded in the NCAA Tournament, it’s not surprising to see that they’re the favorite to win the Super Regional. However, it’s far from a given that the Wildcats are going to win and Oregon State is getting respectable odds from Vegas to go into Lexington and come out with a win.
The Super Regional round features a best-of-three series, with the loser being eliminated and the winner advancing to the College World Series. The first game between Kentucky and Oregon State is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. ET. The game is also scheduled to be available to watch on ESPNU. Game two is set for Saturday and, if necessary, the third game will be on Sunday.
Nick Mingione on winning a national championship at Kentucky
Ahead of the Super Regional, Kentucky head coach Nick Mingione shared that the goal is to win a championship at Kentucky.
“We made that decision, when they walk through that wall, the first thing they would see is the Kentucky sign. And when they got to their seats they would see that sign. That was placed there intentionally for them to be a reminder that it was all about Kentucky. And as they walked to their seats, the goal was to go there and eventually be national champions. So that’s what our goal is. That’s what the goal is. And I’m just thankful to be in this position. But they understand the goal,” Mingione said.
“If you were to ask our players what the goal on the field was, they would tell you that our goal was to be national champions. This was one step. And anytime you can win a championship of any kind — obviously, we won the SEC; we’re now a regional champion — these are experiences that they’ll never forget. And as a coach it brings me the greatest joy to watch them celebrate and have experiences that they’ll never forget. And because of that, they’ll have a bond with these guys, and they’ll be in each other’s weddings and do all that. So that gives me peace. That gives me peace and happiness for them.”
