Like the Pandavas, the BJP knows only how to fight a straightforward war: Madhavi Latha

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], June 5 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Madhavi Latha who lost to All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi from Hyderabad said that like the Pandavas in Mahabharata, her party only knows how to fight a "straightforward war".

"BJP as a party only know how to fight straight forward war. The Pandavas of Mahabharata only knew how to do a Yuddha straight forward but Kaurava knew how to do the same work the other way, they knew how to hit from behind," Latha said speaking to ANI on Wednesday.

The BJP leader said that just like the Pandavas lost their kin in the Kurukshetra war, her party has to sacrifice their voters as well for the long drawn-out fight against injustice.

"Pandavas did win the Kurukshetra war but they have lost their kin. They have lost Panch Pandavas who are their own children. They have lost Abhimanyu, a big warrior," Latha said.

Latha argued that the BJP had to sacrifice its voters owing to the wrong misinterpretations, and wrong communication passed onto the simple, poor people of the country.

"We have to sacrifice our beloved voters because of the wrong allegations, wrong misinterpretations, and wrong communication that has been passed onto those simple, poor, insecure people of this country. But I am sure still the truth wins, justice wins and it prevails. That's the reason BJP has come back to power...," the BJP leader said.

Madhavi Latha lost to Owaisi by a margin of more than three lakh votes in Hyderabad. While Owaisi got 6,61,981 votes, Madhavi Latha received 3,23,894 votes.

The BJP has won eight seats in Telangana, the Congress eight and the AIMIM won one seat in the recently held Lok Sabha elections who results were declared on Tuesday. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BRS (then TRS) won nine of 17 seats, while the BJP and Congress bagged four and three seats, respectively. (ANI)
