Manchester United supporters are hoping the club won’t be tempted by a mega-offer for star player Bruno Fernandes.
Bruno Fernandes is Manchester United’s captain, most consistent and best player, and he is also Portugal’s most integral star.
Fernandes demonstrated his importance to Portugal’s Euro 2024 preparations this week with a brace in a friendly against Finland.
His performance was hailed by the Portuguese press, as he netted his 21st and 22nd goals for his country in the 4-2 victory.
Bruno Fernandes is ‘best in the world’
Bruno Fernandes’s quality has been on display for Manchester United over the past four years since signing for the club from Sporting.
While he has been questioned by some at times, Fernandes has consistently proven his critics wrong, with Roy Keane recently saying the midfielder had made him change his opinion.
Some have never needed winning over, instantly convinced by Fernandes from day one, and someone who has worked with him closely is coach Benni McCarthy.
McCarthy sent Fernandes a message following his latest international goals, wishing him well and paying him a big compliment.
He wrote: “The best number 8 in the world, bro 🪄 🐐 congratulations bro and lots of strength with the selection.”
McCarthy sends message to Lisandro Martinez
Benni McCarthy also had a message for Fernandes’ Manchester United teammate Lisandro Martinez, who is on international duty with Argentina, preparing for the Copa America.
Martinez shared an image from training alongside some of his teammates, including Lionel Messi.
McCarthy had a message to reflect what Manchester United fans were thinking, writing: “Take good care of yourself and good luck with the selection.”
After hisbattle with injuries, Manchester United fans just want Martinez to stay fit. He’s a competitor, so he will want to play, after missing so many games. But we just need him fully fit and ready for 2024/25.
