Montana Sen. Steve Daines Likens Biden’s Border Policy To Evel Knievel’s Daring Stunts

Montana Sen. Steve Daines (Sen. Steve Daines)

Montana Senator Steve Daines compared President Joe Biden's border policies to the daring stunts of legendary daredevil Evel Knievel.

Daines accused the Biden administration and Senate Democrats of using "political stunts" in a desperate attempt to distract from their failure to address the pressing issues facing the American people.

Daines began by invoking the memory of Evel Knievel, the iconic stunt performer from Butte, Montana, known for his death-defying motorcycle jumps.

The senator suggested that Biden, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and their Democratic allies were "giving old Evel Knievel a run for his money when pushing the envelope on crazy" with their recent actions.

Daines lambasted Schumer for bringing a border bill to the Senate floor, calling it a mere "show" to distract from the Biden administration's failure to address the issue.

The senator argued that the border crisis has now become a "significant political crisis" for the Democrats, with Biden finally taking action three years after rolling back the policies of the previous administration that had helped secure the border.

Daines did not mince words in his criticism of the Biden administration and Senate Democrats, accusing them of being responsible for a litany of failures, from record-high inflation to the chaotic foreign policy that has "incited chaos around the world."

The senator asserted that the American people are not fooled by the "political stunts" employed by Biden and the Democrats, and that they will hold them accountable in the upcoming midterm elections. Daines expressed confidence that the voters will recognize the administration's shortcomings and make their voices heard at the ballot box.
