"From those I spoke to": Journalist shares what people at Crystal Palace have told him about Eze and Olise

As excitement builds at Crystal Palace over the potential signings that could be made this summer, fears continue over some possible sales.

The transfer window isn’t even open yet and already it seems like Crystal Palace has two signings almost nailed down to arrive. Oliver Glasner will be thrilled by the arrival of Daichi Kamada should it be completed upon his Lazio contract expiring.

Meanwhile, Chadi Riad has already completed his medical and is simply waiting to be announced by the Eagles, although he’s now been waiting quite a while.

Several other targets are also credited with interest and the two already close to moving aren’t expected to conclude the summer’s business.

However, this could also mean Palace end up having to sell some of the current star players at the club in order to fund further arrivals.

What Alasdair Gold has heard about Crystal Palace

Heading into this summer, the future of Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi were always going to be much discussed and debated.

In the first few weeks since the league season ended, we’ve already seen multiple links to other clubs for these three, but now Alasdair Gold of Football London has shared what he’s heard and it’s good news.

“From those I’ve spoken to around Crystal Palace, they seem to believe that they will only let one of Eze, Olise & Guehi go this summer.”

This would be an excellent result for Palace to keep hold of two of these superb talents, with one sale being enough to fund the entire transfer window.

However, in the case of Olise and Eze, little can be done to prevent their departure given release clauses in place. However, recent reports have suggested the pair might not be desperate to depart.

Which of the three should Crystal Palace sell?

All three are players who’d be sought after by the biggest and richest clubs across the Premier League, but if one has to go Palace would be faced with a tough choice.

The obvious answer would be Guehi, with the centre-half being the most replaceable out of the trio, and also the club showed that it could cope without him anyway. Selling Guehi would be made easier by the fact Riad is already nearing arrival.

Guehi has been reported to be keen on an exit last month, and with a price tag of £60m, he’d be the best option to sell, as Manchester United circle.

Keeping Eze and Olise would be more important with these two being one-of-one talents who cannot be replaced.
