TV star returns to judging panel despite 'not missing how much he had to work'

Adam Levine left The Voice in 2019, but is now making a comeback despite how vocal he was about the workload. He “didn’t miss how much he had to work” and spent the last few years with family.

Now the judge is “well-rested,” Adam is itching to get back on The Voice panel. The OG is “back in the building,” teasing that the upcoming season will be “different” in a promo clip.

Adam Levine left The Voice in 2019

Adam Levine left The Voice five years ago, to spend more time with his family. “I was ready to not be doing it anymore, I think for a little bit,” he admitted on The Howard Stern Show in 2019.

“I think that when it all kind of naturally happened, I was like, ‘OK, it feels right.’ For better or worse, the moment in which we decided to walk away felt really good. It was the right time for me to go,” he added.

The returning judge continued to reveal, “It got to the point where I got married, I had two kids, and I wanted to spend time with them. They were really little.”

He’s ‘well-rested’ as he announces return

The former judge spent the last five years being a stay-at-home dad who “does very little”. “I really do miss it. I love the people that I met and worked with,” he said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Levine continued, “And, obviously, we all know how I feel about Blake. I do miss it, but I also don’t miss how much I had to work. I was constantly working for so many years. Very lucky, very fortunate.”

Adam went on to add, “Just to be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new, young family and have the greatest time ever. Now I’m just a stay-at-home dad. I stay home and do very little.”

Now, he’s feeling “well-rested” and told fans: “I’m ready to go. I’m a little nervous. I’m not nervous. But I’m so excited and it’s going to be great and I can’t wait. It’s going to be awesome. Let’s go!”

Levine’s family are his priority

Levine’s ultimate priority are his children and wife, Behati Prinsloo, who he often attends events with. Five years later, his three children have grown up and he seems ready to take a break from his routine.

He will officially return to The Voice when Season 27 premieres in spring 2025, several years after welcoming their third child – who they revealed almost a year later is a boy – in January 2023.

Their youngest is the first son for the couple, who share daughters Dusty Rose, seven, and Gio Grace, five. Dusty Rose, made her public debut when Levine received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
