Russian army carries out more than 25 attacks in Pokrovsk direction - General Staff

During the day on June 6, the number of enemy attacks in the Pokrovsk direction increased to 26, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Situation on the fronts

In the Lyman direction, the enemy made six unsuccessful attempts to improve their positions. In particular, the Russian forces are trying to operate in the area of Serebryanske forestry.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Defense Forces are repelling Russian attacks in the areas of Ivanivka and Kalynivka. The total number of attacks has increased to four.

In the Pokrovsk direction, there are currently five clashes occurring in the areas of Sokol, Yevhenivka, Kalynove, and Novooleksandrivka.

"According to preliminary information, the Russian losses currently amount to 154 killed and wounded. One enemy tank and five armored vehicles have been destroyed, and another tank and three combat armored vehicles have been damaged," adds the General Staff.

Another battle is ongoing in the Kurakhove direction and near Urozhaine in the Vremivka direction.

Russian advance

According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), our fighters are preventing the enemy from advancing into the Kharkiv region and have also intensified counterattacks in the area. Meanwhile, the Russian troops are pressing:

  • near Kupiansk;
  • close to Chasiv Yar;
  • to the west of Avdiivka.
