Macron confirms that Paris allows Ukraine to strike inside Russia using French weapons

The French government has permitted Ukraine to strike Russian military targets with transferred weapons, states President of France Emmanuel Macron.

"We support the Ukrainians. We allow Ukraine to strike targets from which rockets were launched. We prohibit hitting civilians with our weapons," Macron emphasized.

The French president did not provide further details on this matter.

Long-range missiles from France

It is worth noting that France is one of the countries providing Ukraine with long-range missiles. Ukrainian military is supplied with SCALP missiles, which have a range of 300 kilometers.

Recently, BBC reported, citing a French officer, that France has given Ukraine the "green light" to strike Russian airfields in the Kursk and Belgorod regions with SCALP missiles.

Officially, the French authorities have not yet confirmed this information.
